This summer’s most buzzed-about coming-of-age K-drama follows five youths on a spectacular journey of growth.
On the 19th, the team behind ENA’s new Monday–Tuesday drama Doctor On The Edge unveiled a group poster featuring Do Ji-eui (Lee Jae-wook), Yook Ha-ri (Shin Ye-eun), and the youths of the Pyeondong-do health clinic.
In the poster, the five leads lock in with unwavering gazes from their respective posts, raising curiosity over how their stories will unfold.
Lee Jae-wook’s Do Ji-eui avoids island life but begins to change and mature after encountering a series of incidents on Pyeondong-do. Shin Ye-eun’s Yook Ha-ri is a bright, bold nurse who returns to her hometown while hiding old wounds. Hong Min-gi transforms into a cold, taciturn elite public health doctor; Lee Soo-kyung plays a Pyeondong-do–born nurse who dreams of the big city; and Kim Yoon-woo adds energy as a carefree public health doctor specializing in Korean medicine (traditional medicine).
Set on the remote, often-avoided island of Pyeondong-do, Doctor On The Edge tracks how youths with clashing worries collide and grow together. The series premieres June 1 on ENA and will also be available on Genie TV and Disney+.
