Actor Ji Sung makes a shocking turn as a former gangster targeting slush funds hidden inside an apartment complex.
On the 19th, JTBC signaled the official launch of its new weekend drama Apartment.
Apartment is a slice-of-life human comedy about a former mobster who teams up with residents to expose corruption and seize unaccounted money within the complex. Led by Ji Sung, the series also stars Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun, and Moon So-ri, heightening anticipation.
In the drama, Ji Sung plays Park Hae-gang, a former boss of the Oasis gang infamous for a legendary 0% delinquent recovery rate. Focused on raising 100 billion won in capital and saving Yong-man, a father figure to him, Hae-gang runs for chair of the apartment residents' association.
Ha Yoon-kyung transforms into Kang Ha-ri, a part-timer racing toward her goal of becoming a full-fledged lawyer at major law firm We Partners. With her natural tact and charm, Ha-ri injects fluid energy into the story and stands at the center of key relationships.
Adding tension, Park Byung-eun plays the luxurious villain Lee Chung-won. As the CEO of a construction company and a penthouse resident of the same apartment, he drives the show's central conflict. Moon So-ri appears as Jang Suk-jin, a talkative, meddlesome resident whose familiar yet distinctive performance amplifies the show's chemistry.
Riding buzz for its fresh premise and trusted cast, Apartment is slated to premiere this July.
