K-pop boy group L5ST is disbanding.

Recently, the group’s label Macaroni Media announced on the team’s official X (Twitter), "L5ST will conclude official activities after the July 5 performance," revealing the group’s disbandment. They added, "Thanks to fans’ love and dedication over the past two years, we were able to grow significantly," and "Every member learned a lot. We are truly grateful."

At the end of the notice, the agency hinted at a reboot, saying, "While L5ST stops here, we will be reborn with a new name, a new concept, and stronger resolve, and come back to fans with even better music and performances."

Immediately after the announcement, leader Dojun shared that he will not join the restructured team. In a handwritten letter, Dojun explained, "Although the group will return in a new form, I will not be able to join." He added, "I have been dealing with a herniated disc and ongoing shoulder pain. Doctors advised me to stop strenuous activities and take a prolonged rest," and said he has "decided to retire from the entertainment industry after completing the scheduled activities." Before L5ST, Dojun also promoted as a member of XENEX until 2023.

L5ST is an eight-member group consisting of Dojun, Seogyeom, Yunsang, Navin, Chanuk, Gyeol, Donggyu, and Beomsu. They debuted in 2024 and won fans’ hearts with tracks like 'Only One' and 'FreeFall'.
