Former MMA fighter–turned–TV personality Choi Hong-man is teaming up with comedians Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se for the travel variety show Gulliver's Travels, heading straight to living rooms.
Channel A announced that starting on the 23rd, it will air the Wavve original variety show Gulliver's Travels. The show first dropped online and quickly went viral, and now it’s expanding its reach to TV audiences.
Gulliver's Travels follows the hyper-real adventures of Choi Hong-man—who stands over 218 cm tall—as he heads overseas with Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se. Built around Choi’s reality where “ordinary travel” is anything but, the series promises laugh-out-loud yet relatable episodes set in unfamiliar environments.
Despite his fierce appearance, a surprisingly delicate and sensitive side of Choi shines through—one of the show’s biggest draws. Adding to the fun, Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se—who skyrocketed in popularity with their YouTube channel Short Box—step in as “pro caretakers,” creating effortless chemistry. Their unpredictable trio dynamic fuels another layer of entertainment.
The first destination is Macau. Against the backdrop of a city where East meets West, the trio’s chaotic, slapstick itinerary unfolds. Dreaming of a carefree trip, Choi kicks things off by finding everything—from airplane seats to restrooms to even slippers—comically small, setting the tone with instant laughs.
Once on the ground, Choi’s presence is undeniably overwhelming, drawing stares everywhere they go. When the sweltering heat saps his energy, Kim and Jo launch a “Gulliver Recharge Project.” But an unexpected twist leaves Choi stranded alone in a crowd—a hilarious yet heartbreaking mishap that keeps the story rolling.
Seizing the moment, Kim Won-hoon and Jo Jin-se sneak off for some free time of their own—adding a different kind of fun. Upcoming episodes will also show Choi opening up against Macau’s glittering nightscape, hinting at heartfelt moments that aim to move viewers beyond simple laughs.
Meanwhile, Gulliver's Travels first premiered on Wavve, with episode 1 set to air on Channel A at 12 p.m. on the 23rd. Episodes will also roll out sequentially on the official YouTube channel.
