Former Jewelry member Yewon has openly revealed that she recently broke up with her boyfriend.
Yewon appeared as a guest with singer Kim Soochan on SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show, showing off her witty banter. Comedian Kwak Beom joined as a special DJ, and the cast shared a range of stories on air.
During the broadcast, the DJs playfully teased Yewon with questions like, "We heard you’re great at dating and giving relationship advice," and "Aren’t you basically a dating expert?" Yewon replied, "It’s not like I’m dating every chance I get," adding, "But I do often give relationship advice to people around me." As the questions kept coming, she joked, "I’m not at the PhD level—maybe more like a master’s," drawing laughter.
As the mood warmed up, Kwak Beom casually asked, "When was your most recent relationship?" Yewon looked briefly flustered before bursting into laughter. She quipped, "You told me to be honest and relatable, and then you hit me with this right away," cracking everyone up. After a moment’s hesitation, she calmly admitted, "To be honest, it hasn’t been long since we broke up."
Surprised by her candid confession, Kim Soochan asked, "Are you okay sharing this publicly?" Yewon coolly replied, "Why not? I’m human too," grabbing attention with her unbothered attitude.
Hearing this, Kwak Beom and Kim Tae-gyun added, "To be exact, it was a younger boyfriend," keeping the playful vibe going.
Meanwhile, debuting with Jewelry in 2011, Yewon has been active in the drama Moon River and the variety show Betting on Fact.
