MBC variety Hangout with Yoo is expanding its turf to Jeolla Province.
The June 6 broadcast of Hangout with Yoo rolls out the Jeolla edition of Chonnomdeul-ui Jeonseong Sidae - Jjeon-ui Jeonjaeng (hereafter 'Jjeon-ui Jeonjaeng'). Joining the lineup are singer-actor U-Know Yunho from Gwangju and comedian Kwak Beom from Jeonju in North Jeolla.
The 'Jjeon-ui Jeonjaeng' series previously sparked laughs in Gyeongsang Province, where hometown stars battled over who would pick up the tab. With appearances by Yang Sang-guk, Lee Sun-bin, and more, the show delivered characters steeped in regional flavor and lively dialect chemistry. Now, Jeolla-born guests are stepping in to promise a fresh twist.
In the newly released stills, regulars Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Heo Kyung-hwan, and Joo Woo-jae cross paths with U-Know Yunho and Kwak Beom for the first time. Playing visitors who came up to Seoul for some sightseeing, the Jeolla duo makes an instant impact from the moment they enter.
Yoo Jae-suk jokes that U-Know Yunho is "a little bro in the education field," adding, "He goes around giving lessons everywhere," prompting laughter. True to his frequent-flyer image, U-Know Yunho whips out U.S. dollars from his wallet, showing unusual zeal for the 'Jjeon-ui Jeonjaeng' challenge.
Next up, Kwak Beom turns heads with a sunbaked, clay-brown face and unmistakable country-boy visuals. At first glance, Yoo Jae-suk blurts, "Isn't that Ilyong from the drama Country Diaries?" Throwing his face comically close to the camera, Kwak proves it's really him, sending the set into chaos.
In the Jeolla special, their Jeolla dialect banter, bold character setups, and spontaneous chemistry with the core cast are poised to deliver the biggest laughs. With both guests fully immersed in the 'Jjeon-ui Jeonjaeng' universe, expectations are sky-high for their on-screen antics.
Hangout with Yoo featuring U-Know Yunho and Kwak Beom airs on June 6 at 6:30 p.m.
