Girls' Generation's unofficial trio unit Hyorisu — Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung — is heading to MBC's Hangout with Yoo.
The June 20 episode of Hangout with Yoo follows Yoo Jae-suk as he hunts down the singer behind OST track 'The Night the Stars Pour Down'. That day, Hyorisu — the unit formed by Girls' Generation members Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung — will make their entrance, signaling a takeover of network variety.
Hyorisu is Girls' Generation's unofficial three-member unit born from content on Hyoyeon's YouTube channel. Their name takes one syllable from each member, delivering a fresh kind of fun distinct from the group's official unit TaeTiSeo and quickly drawing buzz among fans.
This crossover began when Yoo Jae-suk personally asked Yuri to sing for the OST. Though 'The Night the Stars Pour Down' isn't the main theme of the short-form drama 'I Decided to Take Back the Girl My Younger Sibling Stole', it perfectly hit Yoo's so-called 'Top 100 ears', sparking major interest. With Hyorisu appearing on the show, viewers are curious if a real collaboration will happen.
In the newly released stills, Hyorisu exudes the confidence of a rookie group storming a network stage even before debut. The trio playfully jockey for the coveted center spot and trade fearless disses about each other's vocals, turning the set into a laugh fest.
Their seasoned variety chops are another highlight. Sweeping up the mood with zero hesitation — hardly 'rookie' behavior — Hyorisu leaves Yoo Jae-suk exclaiming, "That's incredible."
All eyes are on the passion and teamwork Hyorisu will show to land the 'The Night the Stars Pour Down' OST opportunity.
Broadcast airs on the 20th at 6:30 p.m.
