Breaking: Actor Namgoong Min and model-turned-actress Jin Areum are expecting their first child.
On the 18th, Namgoong Min’s agency 935 Entertainment confirmed the pregnancy, stating, “A precious new life has come to Namgoong Min and Jin Areum.” The agency added that the couple is “grateful and excited” and will prioritize health and stability as they prepare to welcome their new family member. They also asked for understanding, noting that pregnancy and childbirth are deeply personal matters, so further details will not be disclosed.
Namgoong Min and Jin Areum’s story goes back to 2015. They first met as director and actor through the film Light My Fire, which Namgoong Min directed, and later became a couple. After confirming their relationship publicly in 2016, they tied the knot in October 2022.
Meanwhile, alongside the happy news of becoming a father, Namgoong Min is set to return to his main job. He will make his small-screen comeback with the KBS2 drama The Husband, premiering on July 4.
