Sullyoon of NMIXX explained why she broke into tears during a performance.
Recently, online communities and social media began circulating a clip of Sullyoon on stage at the group’s first world tour, 'Episode 1: Zero Frontier,' held on June 13 at UDB Live in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the video, Sullyoon winced while dancing, appearing to be in pain, and her eyes welled up as if she were about to cry.
As the footage went viral, Sullyoon told fans on the Bubble platform on June 14, "I think I overdid it during the dress rehearsal yesterday, and I started hurting from then on. I just put on a pain patch, took some medicine, and slept, but when I woke up it had gotten worse."
She continued, "I got laser therapy and a few other treatments. Both the company (JYP Entertainment) and the hospital said it would be good to rest, but I still wanted to be on stage at least a little, so I said I’d sit down if it hurt too much."
She also opened up about the pain during treatment. Sullyoon said, "I was lying face down getting injections, and the bed was soaked with tears. I kept apologizing and wiped them with the tissues they gave me," adding, "Since it was a face-down bed with a hole, there were tears on the floor, too." Fans were heartbroken to hear it.
