Eunbin Kwon, the singer-actress formerly of CLC, is retiring from the entertainment industry.

On the 16th, she posted a lengthy message on her Instagram announcing the news.

She wrote, "Over roughly 10 years in entertainment, every moment was happy thanks to the overwhelming love and support from fans, and I was truly grateful," adding, "After much thought, I’ve decided to live as a non-celebrity."

Kwon continued, "More than love and passion for work, most of my time was spent tormented by emptiness and anxiety about the present and future," explaining, "I spent regrettable years avoiding and merely venting negative feelings and times, without making efforts to overcome them and grow."

She added, "For years, I wasted precious time on meaningless periods that did nothing for me and on relationships that were nothing but shells with zero substance," noting, "I feel deep regret about my foolish past and those lost years."

Kwon said, "These days, I’m spending time filled with newer, happier emotions than ever," and apologized, "I’m sorry I can’t respond to everyone who reached out with sincere support and concern, but I won’t be accepting any private contacts or questions going forward."

She plans to conclude all entertainment activities after finishing CLC’s previously scheduled overseas group commitments.

Meanwhile, Kwon debuted with the group CLC in 2015 and gained public recognition after appearing on Mnet’s Produce 101 in 2016. She went on to act in dramas including Bad Papa, Somehow Family, At a Distance, Spring Is Green, and Youth of May, actively building her career as an actor.
