Actor Nam Bo-ra (36) is now a mother.
On the 17th, Nam Bo-ra announced on her Instagram that she had given birth to a son and shared her first post-delivery update. Alongside a photo taken in a hospital gown, she wrote, "Thank you so much for celebrating the birth of Kong-ali (our baby's nickname). I’m recovering well at the hospital." Previously, news that she underwent an emergency C-section had fans worried.
Nam Bo-ra also opened up about the concerns she faced while preparing for childbirth. She said that although she has plenty of childcare experience, this was her first time giving birth, and while preparing for a natural birth, she paid meticulous attention to everything from her diet and daily habits to exercise. During that process, she learned about cord blood. After long discussions with her husband, they decided to store both cord blood and cord tissue.
Explaining why they chose cord blood banking, she said it "can be used to treat more than 100 diseases and could offer even more treatment possibilities in the future." She added that it was a choice for their child’s healthy future.
Born in 1989, Nam Bo-ra first became known as the eldest daughter of a 13-sibling family through KBS Screening Humanity and MBC Sunday Night – Choir of Angels. She married a businessman of the same age last May after about two years of dating and announced her pregnancy that December. She has now welcomed a healthy baby boy, opening a new chapter in her life.
