Model-turned-TV star Joo Woo-jae is finally going face-to-face with his lookalike, comedian Lee Yoon-seok — a hilarious showdown that K-variety fans won’t want to miss.
On June 13, MBC’s variety show Hangout with Yoo welcomes “the king of variety” Lee Kyung-kyu and his longtime partner Lee Yoon-seok. Anticipation is surging as Joo Woo-jae, who’s often compared to Lee Yoon-seok for their uncanny resemblance, is set to meet him on-air.
Known for his slender frame and “fragile” on-screen persona, Joo Woo-jae has been dubbed the entertainment industry’s new “skin-and-bones” character. He previously even used “Lee Yoon-seok” as his nickname during the ‘Comma, Club’ special — and now he finally stands face-to-face with the “original.”
Just putting the two side by side reportedly sends the set into laughter. When Joo Woo-jae reveals he recently hit his heaviest weight ever at 70.5 kg (155.4 lbs), Lee Yoon-seok looks genuinely envious and says to him, “You’re actually sturdy,” stirring up the studio. Teased for his skinny build his whole career, Joo Woo-jae beams, saying, “No one’s ever said that to me,” and even flexes his muscles for laughs.
Lee Yoon-seok also shares his own weight on the spot, cementing his reputation as the nation’s quintessential lightweight. The members go wild over this meeting of the “new bones” and the “original bones,” getting hooked on the duo’s quirky senior–junior chemistry.
