UNCHILD member Hiki is taking a break from activities due to health concerns — news that comes just about two months after debut.

On the 12th, agency High Up Entertainment announced through the official fan community that Hiki would pause activities. According to the label, Hiki recently felt unwell and visited a hospital, where medical staff advised ample rest. The agency said, "Prioritizing our artist's health above all else, we discussed future plans with Hiki and decided to suspend all activities for the time being so they can focus on recovery."

As a result, UNCHILD will continue schedules as a five-member team starting today without Hiki. To focus on recovery, Hiki will also not participate in promotions for the new album slated for release in the second half of the year.

The agency added, "We apologize for causing concern with this sudden news," and promised, "We will do our utmost to support Hiki's recovery so they can stand before fans again in good health." They also asked fans to send warm encouragement so Hiki can return with a bright smile.

UNCHILD is a rookie group launched by High Up Entertainment roughly six years after STAYC. The lineup consists of Park Yeeun, Hiki, Tina, Ako, Yvon, and Na Haeun. They made their debut in April with the single 'We Are UNCHILD,' marking their first step into the music scene.
