K-Drama fans are buzzing as EXID’s Hani (Hee-yeon Ahn) makes her small-screen comeback this July with KBS2’s new weekend series Love Is Coming, co-starring Seok-jin Ha. After a three-year hiatus due to personal matters, her return is already drawing major attention.

KBS2’s weekend drama Love Is Coming, slated to premiere in July, is a heartwarming “family recipe” series that gathers a fractured family’s hearts and serves comforting, healing moments like a warm meal. Hee-yeon Ahn will lead the show opposite Seok-jin Ha as the female and male leads.

This marks Ahn’s first drama since Disney+’s Call It Love in 2023—about three years ago. With her time away from the spotlight, this project is widely viewed as a pivotal turning point as she steps back in front of the public.

In the series, Ahn plays Han Gyurim, a woman who stands strong despite a harsh reality. Though carrying deep wounds, she refuses to crumble and becomes the emotional core of a story about family, love, and healing. Having taken on diverse challenges across genres and OTT titles, Ahn’s next-level mainstream appeal on KBS’s powerhouse weekend slot will be a key point to watch.

The cast also includes Yoo-na Park, Jung-nam Bae, Jin-woong Min, Joo-yeon Lee, Yoon-kyu Bae, and Bo-min Jung, adding further depth to the ensemble.

Meanwhile, Love Is Coming brings together director Seok-gu Hong and writer Kyung-hee Lee. All eyes are on whether Hee-yeon Ahn can shake off the weight of her hiatus and re-establish her presence as a leading actor.
