Yoon Ji-yoon, a member of the group Izna, who had suspended activities due to health reasons, will ultimately leave the team.
On the 19th, the agency Wake One announced, "After a long time of careful consideration due to health reasons, Yoon Ji-yoon has decided to conclude her activities with the team." They continued, "Since early this year, Yoon Ji-yoon has focused on rest and recovery, and during this process, we and the artist have discussed the future direction of activities in depth. As a result, we decided to end her team activities with health as the top priority."
Previously, Yoon Ji-yoon had suspended her activities just three months after her debut in February, for health reasons. At that time, the agency stated, "Due to health issues and condition disturbances, we have decided to temporarily halt activities and allow sufficient rest and recovery time," emphasizing that the artist’s health was the top priority.
With Yoon Ji-yoon's departure, Izna will be reorganized into a six-member group consisting of Mai, Bang Ji-min, Coco, Yoo Sa-rang, Choi Jung-eun, and Jeong Se-bi.
Meanwhile, Izna was formed through the Mnet survival program 'I-LAND 2: Final Countdown' last year, and Yoon Ji-yoon played the role of the main vocalist. Izna released their new single 'BEEP' in June and recently covered the OST 'Golden' from the Netflix animated film 'K-pop Demon Hunters' at the 80th Anniversary Liberation Celebration performance held at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, drawing attention.
