TWICE member Dahyun is suspending her remaining tour activities to focus on ample rest and recovery.
Agency JYP Entertainment announced on the 25th, "After careful discussions about the artist’s condition and whether she could participate in performances, we determined that sufficient rest and recovery should take priority over activities right now," adding, "Dahyun will focus on recovery for the time being and plans to rejoin activities once she’s well enough to perform choreography."
The company continued, "We are truly sorry to keep sharing disappointing updates with fans who have been waiting for Dahyun’s stage appearances," and promised, "We will do our best to support the artist so she can continue her activities in good health."
Earlier, after an ankle issue was detected at the start of the world tour, Dahyun continued receiving treatment in the United States. Following her return to Korea, a detailed examination diagnosed a fracture. Considering that the world tour could put significant strain on the fractured area, she had already decided to sit out the North American shows scheduled from February 13 to March 7.
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently on their 'THIS IS FOR' world tour, meeting fans across 43 regions worldwide. The North American leg will continue without Dahyun from Orlando on the 27th through Austin on April 18.
