Singer Jay Park has come under fire for performing his song 'MOMMAE' at a breast cancer campaign event, and he has since clarified his position.
On the 16th, Jay Park took to his Instagram story to post, "I understood that the event was for a good cause, and I performed as I would normally, after the official breast cancer campaign event and without considering my busy schedule."
He continued, "If any cancer patients were displeased or uncomfortable while watching my performance, I apologize. I hope you all stay healthy." He expressed his support for cancer patients and added, "Although I am also injured, I performed earnestly for good intentions without charging. Please do not misuse that good intention."
Earlier on the 15th, Jay Park attended the breast cancer awareness campaign event 'Love Your W 2025' organized by W Korea, held at a hotel in Seoul. During the event, he passionately performed his 2015 song 'MOMMAE', which heated up the atmosphere.
However, 'MOMMAE' contains content that praises the female body, which has led to criticism over its appropriateness for a breast cancer campaign, prompting Jay Park to take a direct stance and clarify his position.
