Shocking comeback: SHINee’s Key will return to the stage with a solo concert run from May 29 to 31 at Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena, following months of backlash over his ties to the so-called ‘injection aunt’ controversy.

On March 31, Golden Disc announced on its official social media, "Team leaders around the world, please look the other way even if your teams take PTO on Friday, May 29. For SHAWOLs (SHINee’s fandom), that day is an unmissable 'mandatory attendance at a regular donor performance review meeting.' After a year, the four members of SHINee are holding a solo concert, 'THE INVERT.' SHINee is back."

Along with the announcement, newly shot photos of the SHINee members from 2024 were released and quickly drew buzz.

This marks SHINee’s first standalone concert in a year, and all eyes are on Key’s return. About five months ago, Key halted all broadcasting activities after getting swept up in controversy over his acquaintance with Ms. A, nicknamed the "injection aunt," who was accused of performing illegal medical procedures on TV personality Park Na-rae. Key apologized, saying he felt "deeply sorry and ashamed to those who believed in and supported me," and stepped down from every show, including the MBC variety program I Live Alone. With this concert, fans are now anticipating his comeback.

Meanwhile, SHINee will hold '- The Trilogy I - 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : THE INVERT' from May 29 to 31 at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena in Seoul.
