Actress Sung Yuri, formerly of the girl group Fin.K.L, is making a return to television. Previously, her husband, golfer Ahn Sung-hyun, was sentenced to prison after being accused of receiving 3 billion KRW and various gifts from Kang Jong-hyun, who is known to be the actual owner of the cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb, in exchange for promoting the listing of a token on the exchange.

According to OSEN on the 22nd, Sung Yuri has confirmed her participation in the new tvN entertainment program 'Going All the Way', which is set to premiere on November 4th. The show is a reality variety format called the 'Health Bus Project', where they travel across the country communicating with citizens. Sung Yuri will co-host the program with actor Han Sang-jin. tvN has also announced Sung Yuri's participation as an MC to multiple media outlets.

This marks Sung Yuri's return to the screen about two years after her last project, the KBS2 drama 'Will the Breakup Be Recalled?' In the meantime, she had focused on her family due to her husband's trial and incarceration.

Ahn Sung-hyun was prosecuted for violating the Specific Economic Crime Punishment Act and was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison during the first trial on December 2024. The prosecution applied charges stating that he received large sums of money from a coin issuance company in exchange for promises to help with the listing on Bithumb.

Due to the fallout from her husband's case, Sung Yuri's cosmetics brand, where she served as a co-CEO, faced some troubles. The brand had previously received an investment of 3 billion KRW from Company A, and it was revealed that the CEO of Company A is the sister of Kang Jong-hyun, who is known to be close to Ahn Sung-hyun, sparking allegations of involvement with the so-called 'Bithumb Line'.

At that time, Sung Yuri's team stated, "It is true that B is related to Ahn Sung-hyun, but as soon as we recognized that there were issues with the investment path, we returned the full amount of the investment," clarifying the situation.

On New Year's Day 2024, Sung Yuri expressed her feelings on social media, saying, "I pray that the unfair situation our family is experiencing will soon be rectified." Later in June, Ahn Sung-hyun was granted bail. The court set the bail conditions to include a deposit of 50 million KRW and residential restrictions, allowing Sung Yuri to take care of her husband during this time.

After making her first official return on home shopping, she is now expected to complete her return to entertainment with 'Going All the Way'.

Meanwhile, Sung Yuri's return project, tvN's 'Going All the Way', will premiere on November 4th.
