Actor Jang Dong-ju has caused concern among fans as it has been reported that he is unreachable after posting a cryptic apology on his social media.

On the 31st, Jang shared a single sentence — “I’m sorry” — alongside an image with a black background on his Instagram. Fans are reacting with worry, asking, “What’s going on?” and “Are you okay?” in response to the sudden post without explanation.

His agency Nexus Entertainment has stated that they are “confirming the facts” while also relaying that “currently, we cannot reach Jang Dong-ju.”

According to Ilgan Sports, an agency representative said the last contact with Jang was on the 27th. After that, Jang contacted his parents on the 30th, saying he would return home the next day (31st), but did not arrive as expected.

Given that Jang has been actively working on various projects up until recently, this situation is causing increased concern among fans.

Notably, Jang gained a positive public image when he personally witnessed a drunk driving hit-and-run incident in 2021 and caught the perpetrator, turning the case over to the police. At that time, Jang stated on his social media, “No compensation is needed” as he opted for legal procedures, receiving much support from the public.

Jang Dong-ju debuted in 2017 with the KBS2 drama School 2017 and has built his filmography with appearances in shows like Criminal Minds, Comeback Mister, and Mr. Period. This year, he starred in the Netflix series Trigger and has also been announced for the upcoming I’m Human Now, set to be released in 2026.
