According to FlixPatrol, which tracks OTT content rankings, as of Dec. 8, I Shouldn't Have Kissed You! ranked No. 5 globally, The Price of Confession placed No. 6, and Pro Bono landed at No. 8. I Shouldn't Have Kissed You! slipped one notch from No. 4 on Dec. 2 but remains firmly on the chart, keeping its momentum.
The Netflix series The Price of Confession, which has drawn buzz for reuniting Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun after a decade, premiered on Dec. 5. This mystery thriller follows Yoon-su (played by Jeon Do-yeon), who becomes the prime suspect in her husband's murder, and Mo-eun (played by Kim Go-eun), an enigmatic woman rumored to be a witch. The story unravels the secrets that bind these two women.
Also heating up weekend primetime is tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama Pro Bono, which premiered on Dec. 6. The series centers on Kang Da-wit (Jung Kyung-ho), a status-obsessed, self-serving judge who is forced into life as a public-interest lawyer. Trapped in a mega-law firm's revenue-free pro bono unit, the former judge muddles through a heartfelt, comedic courtroom journey.
Per Nielsen Korea, episode 2 posted a 6.0% average and 7.3% peak in the Seoul capital area, and a 6.2% average with a 7.3% peak nationwide. Those numbers made it No. 1 in its time slot among cable and general programming channels both in the capital and nationwide. Among tvN's core 20-49 demographic, it also topped its time slot nationwide, signaling a steady climb.
With less than three weeks to Christmas, holiday-themed films are arriving on cue. Among them, the Netflix movie My Secret Santa, released Dec. 3, shot to No. 2 globally right out of the gate.
The film follows Taylor (Alexandra Breckenridge), a single mom who suddenly loses her job and takes on seasonal work at a ski resort disguised as none other than Santa Claus to pay for her daughter's tuition. The resort's general manager, Matthew (Ryan Eggold), grows curious about the Santa in the red suit, and the two inch closer, sparking a romance.
Since its release, viewers have praised the movie's cozy winter vibes, packed with skiing, snow, Christmas trees, and twinkling lights. Reactions include, "Perfect to watch while getting ready for Christmas," and "A rom-com that nails the year-end mood."
