Actor Park Bo-gum has been named the global brand ambassador for Swiss luxury watchmaker OMEGA, in a move drawing major buzz among K-Drama fans worldwide.
On the 16th, OMEGA announced, "Korean actor Park Bo-gum will represent OMEGA alongside world-renowned stars like George Clooney, Nicole Kidman, and Eddie Redmayne."
OMEGA President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann said, "Park Bo-gum is beloved by audiences of all ages, and his charm and exceptional acting have earned him a devoted global fanbase," adding, "His broad acting spectrum, dedication to his craft, and genuine passion for watches have long captured OMEGA's attention."
Park Bo-gum shared, "Experiencing OMEGA watches firsthand and learning about the brand's history and craftsmanship left a deep impression on me," and added, "It's a great honor to be selected as an ambassador and to introduce OMEGA's philosophy and values to audiences around the world."
Debuting in 2011 with the film Blind, Park Bo-gum has built a solid filmography and earned critical acclaim at home and abroad through numerous dramas including Reply 1988 and Love in the Moonlight. Most recently, he proved his nuanced acting and star power in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines.
To commemorate his new role as ambassador, Park chose the Seamaster Planet Ocean model, crafted in stainless steel and featuring a polished blue ceramic bezel ring.
