Comedian Ji Suk-jin is riding a major hot streak — and he’s bringing that momentum straight into Running Man’s year-end race.
On December 28, SBS’s variety show Running Man will air a special year-end mission titled Prize Sweep Year-End Settlement. Before the main race begins, the members are tasked with a pre-mission: finding a mysterious box labeled with their own name.
While everyone scrambles, Ji Suk-jin quietly makes his move. After previously being completely defeated by temporary member Choi Daniel in a name-tag ripping battle during the Tongyeong shoot, Ji now gets a chance at redemption. The production team secretly assigns him a hidden rule: “Remove every member’s name tag without anyone noticing.” From the start, he struggles to contain his excitement.
Throughout the race, Ji Suk-jin dominates the mood with bold declarations like “I feel alive” and “Today is my day.” He even announces that he plans to target Running Man’s strongest player, Kim Jong-kook, first — a strikingly aggressive move that contrasts with his usual image.
The race centers on a “year-end settlement,” where members must tally the prize badges they earned throughout 2025 as if paying taxes. Ironically, Ji Suk-jin and HaHa — the two members who earned the fewest prizes this year — start the mission with a relative advantage.
With momentum from his recent Grand Prize win at Just an Excuse, Ji Suk-jin has emerged as the biggest wildcard of the year-end showdown. Fans are eager to see whether his rebellion will finally pay off.
The Prize Sweep Year-End Settlement race airs Sunday, December 28 at 6:10 PM.
