Actress Lee Si-young has apologized after a campground "nuisance" controversy sparked backlash.
On the 29th, via her Instagram Story, Lee said, "I'm sorry to those who were inconvenienced at the campground," adding, "We were told our team was the only reservation that day, so I thought it was just us."
She continued, "After checking, the owner told me another team had arrived in the evening," and added, "Because of my second child, we went late in the afternoon and couldn't stay late into the night, so we only stayed a few hours and went home first, so I didn't really grasp what was going on. I apologize once again."
Earlier on the 22nd, a netizen identified as A, who said they used the same campground, drew attention after posting that they suffered from noise. A wrote, "Young people were having fun freely, blasting music on a speaker, and one person took off his shirt and wandered around, giving in to the rhythm," adding, "Even inside the tent, we could hear a host on a microphone dividing teams and running games," expressing their discomfort.
After another user added criticism, calls for Lee to apologize spread across social media and online communities. In the end, Lee acknowledged her fault and issued a public apology.
