Production company HYBE Media Corp has grabbed attention by unveiling an aggressive 2026 slate spanning both films and dramas.

On the 19th, the company announced six films and two series slated to roll out this year.

First up on the big screen are several highly anticipated titles. Director Pan-su Kim's Tropical Night is a hard‑boiled action film set in Bangkok, Thailand, capturing 24 blistering hours as people risk everything to survive in a city that never cools down. The cast includes Do-hwan Woo, Dong-gun Jang, Hyeri Lee, and Sung-hoon Park.

Director Sang-soo Im's To the Land of Happiness is a road movie led by Min-sik Choi and Hae-il Park. Centered on an unlikely journey shared by an escaped convict and a survival-driven thief, it drew buzz after its official selection for the 73rd Cannes Film Festival.

Director Jin-ho Hur's new film Assassins tracks the forces behind the Aug. 15 shooting incident, promising a weighty ensemble led by Hae-jin Yoo, Hae-il Park, and Min-ho Lee.

Director Dong-hyeop Nam, who made waves with Handsome Guys, returns with his next project Jeongwonsadeul (working title), starring Kang-ho Song, Kyo-hwan Koo, and Seung-heon Song. The film is a madcap caper about a houseplant-loving civil servant and a neighborhood troublemaker.

Cinematographer-turned-director Mo-gae Lee's debut feature Nambeol is set in the early Joseon era and follows nine warriors heading to Tsushima Island to rescue prisoners — a hard‑boiled wuxia action epic to watch.

Lastly, Humchyeoboneun Yeoja is a thriller based on the Washington Post bestselling novel of the same name by Minka Kent. Director Cha-won Choi, who previously served as assistant director on The Wailing, Smugglers, and I, the Executioner, takes the helm to dial up the genre tension.

In dramas, season 1 of Made in Korea wrapped to strong reception, and season 2 is slated for the second half of the year. Alongside it, Genie TV's original series Climax, starring Ji-hoon Ju and Ji-won Ha, is set to meet viewers in the first half.

With genres this diverse and a star-packed slate, all eyes are on which HYBE Media Corp projects will win over moviegoers and viewers alike.
