Actor Hyun Bin has broken his silence on the divisive debate over senior actor Jung Woo-sung's acting in the Disney+ series Made in Korea, which they worked on together.
On the afternoon of the 27th, during press interviews at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Hyun Bin fielded questions related to co-star Jung Woo-sung and shared his candid thoughts.
In the series, Jung Woo-sung plays prosecutor Jang Geon-young, who obsessively pursues Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin). Some viewers slammed Jung's performance as awkward, and online praise posts even sparked suspicions of viral marketing.
Addressing the controversy, Hyun Bin said, "There are parts I wish had gone better. It's not easy for me to talk about," adding, "I'm sure he feels even more regret than I do. Actors think deeply and put in tremendous effort to embody a role and show it to audiences, and I believe he's confronting that more than anyone."
Speaking on their on-set chemistry, he shared, "We talked a lot while filming," noting that even while watching rehearsals and edits they kept exchanging ideas, saying, "What if we try changing this like that?"
Meanwhile, Made in Korea set a record as the most-watched Korean original released on Disney+ in the Asia-Pacific region in 2025, earning massive love. Season 2 is expected to deepen the story with a wider range of narratives.
