On the 16th, CGV announced it will exclusively host a special event titled 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL – EXPERIENCE IN CINEMAS' at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall on the 22nd to celebrate BTS's fifth full-length album 'Arirang.' The event is part of the 'BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL' project, designed to turn the entire city of Seoul into a cultural experience space.
The main program is a 'Karaoke Screening.' Across 15 auditoriums, a screening that combines every track from BTS's new album 'Arirang' with visual art footage will take place. Fans can sing along while enjoying the album, and a 'Cinema Kit' — including an entry wristband, a special numbered ticket, and a mission stamp tour postcard — will be provided. Light sticks are allowed, promising a concert-like atmosphere. The screenings run about 40 minutes each, with a total of 45 showings and roughly 8,000 seats available.
Additionally, a pop-up space in the 7th-floor lobby of CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall will feature an album-themed photo zone and message wall, along with hands-on experiences of traditional Korean games such as yutnori (board game), ttakji-chigi (paper tile flipping), and tuho (arrow toss). At the entrance of the SCREENX auditorium, the album key art will be showcased with a full wrap display, and a 'theater-style album experience' program will guide visitors from the lobby to the screening rooms.
Media art leveraging visuals from BTS's new album will be unveiled through a collaboration with LED.ART at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall and major digital media sites around Seoul.
At the official offline retailer, the Weverse Lucky Store, the fifth studio album will be on sale with an unreleased selfie photocard bonus for purchasers. Theater concessions will also offer a limited-time specialty drink called 'THE CITY Ade.' Reservations open at 5 p.m. on the 18th via the CGV mobile app and website, and tickets are priced at 20,000 won.
