That day, in honor of International Women's Day, she went live with a natural no-makeup look. During the stream, however, one troll left a comment saying, "You're ugly without makeup," sparking backlash.
Unfazed, Ningning replied, "So what? This is how I look. I'm honestly laughing. Let's accept how we look and grow. It's funny to say 'you're ugly' while I'm literally talking about this. OK — you're not listening to me. It's fine to improve. Calling someone 'ugly' while looking at others isn't cool."
She continued, "Doesn't everyone look different? Maybe it's not your taste, but if you're going to spend time typing 'You're ugly,' wouldn't it be better to just listen to a song?" Her clapback quickly became a hot topic.
