U.S. NBC’s flagship talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (hereafter the 'Jimmy Fallon Show') is under fire from BTS fans after a joke made during taping sparked outrage.

On the 25th (local time), TMZ reported that the show’s warm-up comedian, Seth Herzog, referenced North Korea and asked, "Anyone here from the North? No?" The line reportedly came as he was asking the audience where they were from. However, some attendees and fans felt the remark was aimed at BTS and raised objections. BTS fans then pushed back hard on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), demanding apologies from the production team and the host.

As the backlash escalated, Herzog reportedly apologized to BTS, and the network is said to have discussed the incident internally.

Meanwhile, BTS’s appearance on the 'Jimmy Fallon Show' is slated to air soon, featuring both an interview and a stage performance. As of now, there has been no further official statement from Seth Herzog.
