Ryu Yi-seo, influencer and former flight attendant married to Shinhwa member Jun Jin, revealed she has officially begun preparing to have a baby.
On the 31st of last month, Ryu shared on her YouTube channel that "this year's goal is pregnancy," revealing she is currently undergoing IVF treatment. She has already completed egg retrieval and plans to attempt additional retrievals before moving on to embryo transfer.
"When we were younger, we each just took care of ourselves and lived comfortably," she said, adding, "Now, even if things are a bit hard, I tell myself it's only natural, so it doesn't feel that difficult." As for their future child, she said, "I hope they look like my husband but take after my personality."
She also opened up about what led her to pursue pregnancy. "Last year, my husband suddenly got sick and had to go to the hospital. Watching him, I thought, 'How would I live if this person left?'" she confessed. "I felt that if we had a child who resembled him, I could endure it." The situation was urgent enough to suspect a cerebrovascular issue, but it ultimately turned out to be acute indigestion.
Ryu further explained why they had postponed having a child until now. "Once you have a baby, your focus naturally shifts to the child. I wanted my husband to receive all of my love first," she said. "Now I feel we've shared that love enough."
She also spoke about her marriage satisfaction. "Right now, I'm 99% satisfied with our married life," she said, adding, "If I were born again, I'd marry my husband again." She then joked that "after getting married, our apology speed slowed down," sharing a relatable anecdote that made viewers laugh.
Ryu Yi-seo and Jun Jin married in 2020 and have continued to share their daily life with the public through various broadcasts and on social media.
