Actress Kang Ye-won grabbed attention with a candid, headline-making confession about marriage.
On the 30th, Kang Ye-won uploaded the first video on her YouTube channel, sharing a life update along with her thoughts on dating and marriage.
Born in 1979 and now 47, Kang reflected, "Work was always my top priority, and dating was always on the back burner." She continued, "My mindset has changed. I want to date like I did in my 20s, and I’ve become earnest about finding my match."
She didn’t hide her determination to get married either. Kang declared, "I’m someone who could register our marriage right now," stressing, "I definitely want to experience marriage at least once." She added with a laugh, "If there’s someone who wants to register our marriage with me, just come."
As for her ideal type, she picked someone with whom they can genuinely feel grateful to each other. "I want to be someone that person is thankful for, too," Kang said, emphasizing sincerity in a relationship.
She also noted some practical conditions. "Having similar food preferences matters," she said. "It’s someone you’ll be eating with for the rest of your life, after all." When asked, "What if he’s perfect but your tastes don’t match?" Kang laughed and replied, "Then we can just eat separately."
Meanwhile, Kang Ye-won debuted in 2001 with the drama Honey Honey, and has been loved for her roles in films like Haeundae, Hello Ghost, and Part-Time Spy.
