Shocking visuals and instant buzz: on March 30, MBC’s new Friday–Saturday drama 21segi Daegunbuin dropped its main poster, and leads IU and Byun Woo-seok stunned with a fairytale chemistry that’s already going viral. The romance, set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea, premieres April 10 at 9:40 p.m. KST.

The production unveiled a poster spotlighting the duo’s dazzling visuals.

The series tells a romance set in a modern constitutional monarchy. A woman who has everything as a chaebol heiress yet feels constrained by her commoner status meets a man who is a king’s son but cannot have anything—together, they challenge the limits of social status with a love that defies the rules.

In the poster, Seong Hee-ju (played by IU) and Grand Prince Ian (played by Byun Woo-seok) share a waltz under glittering lights at a banquet hall. Their stunning looks outshine the lavish venue, evoking a princess-and-prince moment straight out of a storybook ball. Holding hands tightly as they dance doubles the fluttering excitement. Despite the ‘contract marriage’ setup, both wear expressions filled with butterflies and shy tension, heightening anticipation for what’s to come.

Right after the reveal, netizens reacted with heated interest, saying things like “It looks like a Disney live-action” and “It’s pure romance fantasy.”

Meanwhile, 21segi Daegunbuin will premiere on April 10 at 9:40 p.m. KST.
