The wedding pictorial for the MBC K-Drama Perfect Crown, starring IU and Byun Woo-seok, dropped on the 2nd and is already going viral. The duo front the April special-edition cover of fashion magazine Elle, serving effortless couple chemistry.
This shoot captures a sweet, love-soaked wedding concept. Just like Seong Hee-joo and Grand Prince Ian, who are tied together by a contract marriage in the drama, the pair’s fairy-tale bride-and-groom visuals in a breezy spring setting have fans buzzing.
IU described Seong Hee-joo as “such an intriguing character. She’s adorable in the way she struggles to build a relationship with Grand Prince Ian to meet her goal, and at times she even feels a little comical. Above all, I found it fascinating that she never hides her desires.” Byun Woo-seok also shared about Grand Prince Ian: “I always put the character’s emotions first, and Ian’s feelings resonated deeply with me. He’s of high status yet can’t have anything, and at the same time he longs for happiness—his multifaceted inner world felt incredibly compelling.”
The drama Perfect Crown is set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy Korea and follows the romance between Seong Hee-joo, a woman who has everything but is technically a commoner, and Grand Prince Ian, a king’s son who can’t claim anything as his own. Though their relationship starts as a contract marriage, they learn to walk in step and discover a new meaning of love together.
With its premiere slated for the 10th, teasers and posters featuring IU and Byun Woo-seok have already been released, cranking up anticipation among prospective viewers.
