Actor Lee Jong-won is set to spark a fresh on-screen chemistry in his next project.
According to an April 2 exclusive by Xportsnews, Lee Jong-won will star in the new drama Gakjap-hin Romance (working title).
Gakjap-hin Romance is a role-reversal office romance about a man and a woman who were once senior and junior in the military, only to reunite years later as a rookie employee and a CEO. Park Hyung-sik is reportedly in talks to play male lead Na Jeong-seok, while Park Gyu-young is considering the female lead Woo A-mi.
Lee Jong-won will play Joo Han-min, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) where Na Jeong-seok serves as CEO. Following the casting reports, netizens reacted with comments like “The real Lee did serve,” and “Love how booked and busy he is,” among many others.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong-won debuted as a model in 2017 and began acting in a 2018 web drama. He has steadily built his filmography, gaining recognition through works like Knight Flower. He is also set to meet audiences on the big screen with the film Salmokji, slated to premiere on April 8.
