The Boyz member Younghoon is drawing intense attention after news of his contract termination with his agency, as he’s now rumored to join a high-profile new project.
According to News1 on the 2nd, Younghoon has been offered a role in the live-action adaptation of the webtoon Romance 101 and is currently in talks.
Romance 101 is based on the 2017 Naver Webtoon of the same name and follows meticulous college student Jung Bareum as they navigate campus life and romance.
With Hwang In Yeop reportedly cast as Na Yu-yeon and Cho Yi-hyun as Jung Bareum, Younghoon is considering joining as Shin Jae-hyun. Shin Jae-hyun is the second male lead with a different charm from Na Yu-yeon, anchoring one side of the drama’s central love triangle.
Younghoon began acting with the 2020 drama Love Revolution and has since made special appearances in One the Woman and Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938.
Amid the heated spotlight on his dispute with his current agency, all eyes are on whether Younghoon will officially kick off his acting era with Romance 101.
