Trot star Song Ga-in is set to bring the charm of K-trot to Vietnam.
According to her agency J-STAR on the 8th, Song Ga-in will hold a live concert titled 'Gaindal: The Rise' at The Grand Ho Tram near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on May 16 at 7:30 p.m. (local time). She will connect with local fans in person and present a stage infused with uniquely Korean sentiment.
The concert will feature Song Ga-in’s signature hits alongside a range of trot medleys. Her deep, emotive delivery, resonant tone, and powerhouse vocals are expected to leave a lasting impression on the audience. With a setlist steeped in Korean feeling and storytelling, global fans can look forward to a fresh, immersive experience.
The stage will also feature the Korean traditional music group Woorisori Baraji. Known for performances rooted in gut music, pansori, and sanjo, the group will collaborate with Song Ga-in to reinterpret Korea’s native sounds through a modern lens. This fusion of tradition and trot aims to deliver a meaningful moment that showcases the depth of Korean culture.
Debuting in 2012, Song Ga-in shot to nationwide fame after winning TV Chosun’s trot audition program Miss Trot in 2019.
