Actor Kim Min just threw the first ceremonial pitch of his career — and his viral "look-alike" visuals, even acknowledged by a commentator, are dominating online chatter.
On April 8, Kim stepped onto the mound as the ceremonial first pitcher before the KIA Tigers vs. Samsung Lions game. Wearing the KIA jersey, he wowed the crowd with a picture-perfect windup that highlighted his tall, athletic frame. The game commentator remarked that Kim Min "gives off a similar vibe to actor Kim Sung-cheol," and added that he also curiously resembles Yoo Hae-jin — with whom Kim played a father-son duo in the film The King's Warden — making for a particularly intriguing comparison.
The KIA Tigers crushed the Samsung Lions 15–5, and fans quickly dubbed Kim Min a "seung-yo" (a "victory fairy" who brings good luck) for bringing winning energy to the ballpark.
Kim Min’s "Kim Sung-cheol look-alike" status has long been a hot topic among fans. Beyond visuals, the two share a similar vocal tone, speech cadence, and overall aura. In fact, they’re alumni of the Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts), where they became close while attending school together.
Meanwhile, Kim Min is set to continue his busy schedule with his next project: the new ENA Monday–Tuesday drama Yeonae Baksa.
