Shocking chart domination: BTS' 'ARIRANG' has ruled the Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks.
According to Billboard's chart dated April 18 (announced on the 12th local time), BTS' 5th studio album 'ARIRANG' holds at No. 1 on the main albums chart, the Billboard 200.
It's a first for a Korean artist and the first time any act has pulled this off since Mumford & Sons' 'Babel' in 2012.
This week, 'ARIRANG' earned a total of 124,000 album units. Of that sum, 71,000 came from pure album sales, 50,000 were SEA units (streaming equivalent albums), and the rest were TEA units (track equivalent albums) from digital downloads.
Meanwhile, BTS met 132,000 fans at the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN GOYANG' concerts held on April 9 and 11–12 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. The massive project spans 85 shows across 34 cities, poised to become the most shows ever by a Korean act on a single tour.
