Kang Daniel, a former member of Wanna One who is currently fulfilling his military duty, revealed that he has become a squad leader.
On the 13th, the Army Training Center’s official YouTube channel released a recruitment promo for squad leaders. Appearing in uniform, Kang introduced himself by saying, "This is Squad Leader Kang Daniel from the 25th Regiment, 3rd Training Battalion, 11th Company," confirming that he is currently serving as a squad leader at the training center.
Speaking about applying for the role, Kang advised soldiers considering it: "Even if you feel a bit underqualified, as long as you have the drive and potential, you can absolutely take on the challenge."
Highlighting the role’s purpose and meaning, he added, "You get to lead many people during your service and develop real leadership, and there’s huge pride in personally training recruits and helping them grow into elite soldiers."
He concluded with determination: "As a squad leader, I will do my very best to guide the recruits under my care."
Meanwhile, Kang Daniel enlisted as an active-duty Army soldier on February 9, completed basic training, and is currently serving as a squad leader at the training center. His expected discharge date is August 8, 2027.
