Model-turned-TV personality Hong Jin-kyung recently opened up about how much more at ease she feels and shared some candid thoughts.
On the 14th, the web variety show Alttalttal Han-chamgyeon featured Hong as a guest, where she chatted with Muzie, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Heo Kyung-hwan. "I dont think Ive ever felt this at peace," Hong said, adding, "Its not that I have zero worries, but Ive become much more relaxed as I let go of ambition." She continued, "By lowering the bar for happiness, Ive actually had more moments to feel grateful for," sharing her personal approach to life.
Still, she kept it real. "Even if you lower your expectations, it still hurts when the results dont meet that bar," she admitted.
She also talked about her upbeat rapport with juniors. In particular, her anecdotes with Jo Se-ho and Nam Chang-hee were enough to spark laughter. "If I look under the weather, Jo Se-ho calls me several times a day," Hong said, showing his unusual affection. She added, "Were more like friends than senior and junior."
Most notably, an episode about who picks up the bill drew attention. "When I meet my juniors, I actually try not to pay," she joked. "If the time to pay comes around in the second round, I even pretend to fall asleep." She added, "People think Im the one taking care of them, but in reality, they spend money on me when we meet."
Meanwhile, Hong married a businessman five years her senior in 2003, and they have a daughter. She divorced last year.
