Translator Hwang Seok-hee has been removed from multiple projects following reports about past allegations.

On April 15, industry sources reported that Hwang was excluded from translation work for the upcoming film 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.' He had previously worked on translations for films in the 'Spider-Man' series.

He was also removed from the translation process for the musical 'Frozen,' which is scheduled to premiere in Korea this August. The production company stated that it will use parts of the existing translation while completing the remaining work internally.

The issue stems from reports that resurfaced regarding past cases from 2005 and 2014 involving charges such as forcible molestation and quasi-rape, for which he received suspended sentences.

Following the reports, broadcasters and publishers took additional steps, including making past appearances unavailable and halting sales of related publications.

Hwang stated on social media that he is reviewing the facts with legal counsel and considering responses to parts of the coverage. His account has since been set to private.

Hwang gained recognition for his work on films such as 'Deadpool' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'
