BLACKPINK member Jisoo has received the Rising Star honor at the Cannes International Series Festival.
On April 24, Jisoo attended the 9th Cannes International Series Festival, where she was awarded the ‘Madame Figaro Rising Star Award.’
The Cannes International Series Festival is a global television event held annually in Cannes, France, showcasing outstanding drama and series productions from around the world.
The ‘Madame Figaro Rising Star Award’ is presented to emerging actors with notable potential. In introducing Jisoo, Madame Figaro stated that she has successfully expanded her career from music into acting and is recognized as a highly promising talent.
Previously, Jisoo had been linked to speculation surrounding her family’s private matters. Reports claimed that a man in his 30s, arrested on suspicion of molesting a female BJ, was related to a well-known idol, leading to online speculation involving Jisoo. On April 20, through her legal representative, she clarified that she has long lived separately from her family and that they have no involvement in her company’s operations, adding that such claims are not true.
Meanwhile, Jisoo recently appeared in the Netflix series ‘Boyfriend on Demand,’ alongside Seo In-guk, Seo Kang-joon, Lee Soo-hyuk, Ong Seong-wu, and Lee Jae-wook.
