On the 30th, JTBC told multiple outlets, "Kim Heechul will take a break for health reasons." They clarified, "This is a temporary hiatus, not a departure. He is stepping away to recover and will rejoin afterward." Kim Heechul will begin his break after the May 2 broadcast.
Kim Heechul has been an original cast member since Knowing Bros premiered in 2015. Known for his razor-sharp wit and free-spirited persona, he has long anchored the program. The sudden hiatus has left fans disappointed while hoping for his quick return.
Meanwhile, the show is ushering in a major change. Enter broadcaster Kim Shin-young, who joins as the first female fixed member in the program’s 10-year run. After multiple appearances as a 'transfer student,' she now becomes a full-time cast member.
