Actor Kim Seon Ho’s first project since his tax evasion controversy just closed with a bang, as the play completed a triumphant 80-day run.

The play Secret Passage ended on the 3rd after its 100th performance, surging on word-of-mouth from opening night and drawing a fiery response throughout its run. It not only racked up multiple sold-out performances but also fueled an “N-time rewatch” trend, shaping a new box-office wave in Daehak-ro’s theater scene.

Based on a work by Japanese master Maekawa Tomohiro, the Korean production layered in a sleek, urban mood with a warm emotional core. It distilled the piece’s philosophical message through a distinctly Korean, mainstream sensibility—winning unanimous praise from both critics and audiences.

On closing night, the leads who carried the show returned to the stage to thank the audience. The finale performance featured Yang Kyung-won and Kang Seung-ho, joined by Kim Seon Ho, Kim Sung-kyu, Lee Si-hyung, Oh Kyung-joo, and the entire cast, lighting up the house. The ensemble—celebrated for their seamless onstage chemistry—grew emotional as they offered heartfelt thanks to the fans who supported them over the last 80 days.

Reflecting on their journey, the cast shared onstage, “Every moment felt special thanks to the overwhelming love from audiences who stayed with Secret Passage. We hope the intimate aches and energy we exchanged onstage linger in your daily lives as a small comfort and lasting afterglow.”

The production team also expressed gratitude to everyone who made the season possible. ContentsHap stated, “Thanks to our actors, staff, and above all the audiences who came to the theater, we safely put a period on 100 performances. The past 80 days will remain an unforgettable, precious time for all of us. We extend our deepest thanks once again for the tremendous support through the very end.”

Closing on a high note and injecting fresh energy into the scene, Secret Passage left audiences with a powerful aftertaste—securing a dazzling page in Daehak-ro’s theater history.
