Rookie group iii are riding a wave of buzz after “taking over” Kazakhstan — and member Namking is now making a headline-grabbing move with their first-ever solo radio appearance, signaling the start of iii’s global push.
On the 19th, Big Ocean ENM announced that Namking will appear on Arirang Radio (Arirang International Broadcasting)’s Archive, where they will meet listeners worldwide. This marks Namking’s first solo radio schedule since debut, raising expectations for a side of them that fans haven’t seen on stage.
Archive is a program that dives deep into K-pop artists’ music and stories. Namking, who showed standout variety chops on JTBC’s Dog Days with their bright maknae energy and bouncy charm, plans to share their personal playlist, behind-the-scenes moments, and musical tastes on the show, connecting more closely with listeners.
This move is drawing extra attention because iii recently wrapped a busy slate of activities while staying in Kazakhstan — and they’re keeping the momentum going globally. The group appeared on major local channels Kazakhstan TV and Almaty TV for broadcasts and interviews, and even performed on stage, showcasing iii’s unique sound and appeal to local fans.
iii proved their growing global presence amid a passionate welcome from local fans. Touched by the support that started right at the airport, members shared, “We truly felt the real energy and interest for K-pop.” In particular, member Eunki reportedly left a deep impression by performing the traditional folk song ‘Dudarai,’ faithfully recreating the original lyrics and vocal range.
Known for their distinctive music and performance, iii continue to win hearts. Arirang Radio’s Archive, where fans can discover new sides of Namking, will broadcast to listeners around the world on the 26th.
