WOODZ's team has issued an official apology amid mounting controversy over recruiting overseas concert staff without pay.

On the 8th, agency EDAM Entertainment told multiple outlets, "We confirmed the facts with the local concert organizer regarding the matter," adding, "We are sorry for not reviewing it thoroughly in advance." The company continued, "We will work with the organizer to take necessary measures for areas that fell short during on-site operations," and added, "Going forward, we will inspect overall operations more carefully."

The controversy ignited after a recruitment notice for staff at WOODZ's Germany show spread across online communities. The post favored applicants fluent in Korean, German, and English, those with K-pop concert experience, and people with lighting/sound knowledge—yet stated compensation was unpaid. Instead, it offered meals and the chance to watch the concert, which drew heavy criticism.

Backlash intensified when it emerged that real operational duties—such as maintaining audience order, running the merchandise (MD) booth, and assisting the show runner—were included, with many arguing it amounted to "demanding unpaid labor for a commercial concert."

The author of the notice explained it "appears to be volunteer work in exchange for watching the show" and said it "could be an opportunity for fans." They added that interpretation duties would be paid, but public sentiment did not calm.

Meanwhile, WOODZ is currently on his world tour 'Archive.1'.
