Fresh off winning the Grand Prize in the film category at the Baeksang Arts Awards, actor Yoo Hae-jin is reportedly set to join forces with powerhouse performer Im Si-wan for a chilling occult movie.
On May 19, Sports Chosun reported that Yoo Hae-jin and Im Si-wan have been offered roles in the new film Modup and are reviewing the offers positively.
In response, Yoo Hae-jin’s agency VAST Entertainment and Im Si-wan’s agency The Black Label stated, "Both actors received the offers and are currently reviewing them positively."
The film Modup is an occult project centered on the concept of a "knot." If Yoo Hae-jin signs on, it would mark his second foray into the occult genre following the phenomenon Exhuma. Expectations are also high as this would be Im Si-wan’s first return to the big screen in three years, after a career of seamlessly shifting between good and evil across diverse genres.
With both stars already proven as "ten-million" box office draws, attention is on whether this collaboration can set another massive record. Modup is slated to begin filming in late August.
