Hyunjin of the band LATENCY is leaving the team due to health issues. With her exclusive contract with the agency also ending, the sudden split comes just over two months after their official debut.

On the 22nd, LATENCY’s agency Ordinary Records announced Hyunjin’s departure through the official fan community. The agency stated, "We recently held thorough discussions about her future activities due to health reasons, and we agreed to terminate her exclusive contract out of respect for Hyunjin’s wishes." They added, "As this decision was made after careful consultation between the parties, please refrain from unverified speculation or misunderstandings."

Hyunjin also shared her feelings directly with fans in a handwritten letter. "I always wanted to show only my best on stage, so I feel heavy-hearted to say hello to you this way," she cautiously began. She continued, "After long deliberation, I decided to conclude my activities with LATENCY and end my contract with the agency," confessing that "I became very exhausted and worn down while trying to continue activities."

She added, "I’ve decided I need some time to take care of myself right now," and apologized to fans, saying, "Because this wasn’t an easy decision, I feel even more sorry to those who have supported me." Still, she expressed gratitude: "Thanks to everyone who believed in me and stayed by my side, I was able to make many happy memories." She also asked fans to continue supporting the remaining LATENCY members.

Hyunjin first debuted in 2018 with LOONA, but the team moved toward disbandment following contract disputes. She re-debuted in 2024 with Loossemble, but that contract also came to an end. Setting out for a new start with LATENCY, Hyunjin is now leaving the team again due to health concerns.
