Former BIGBANG member T.O.P laid out his musical direction — and his sincere intent — through his first solo studio album.

On the 26th (local time), T.O.P sat down with U.S. music outlet Billboard to discuss his debut full-length album 'Another Dimension' and more, in an interview conducted by global pop columnist Jeff Benjamin.

Responding to the album’s immediate debut at No. 20 on the Billboard World Albums chart, T.O.P said, "It’s a project that fully reflects my personal taste," adding, "I returned to music after a long time, and I’m grateful to be receiving so much love."

Describing 'Another Dimension,' T.O.P called it "an album like a single film that moves across multiple genres." He emphasized that with a runtime of about 37 minutes, the album goes beyond a simple record to deliver a cohesive narrative and flow.

His production goal was just as clear. "I wanted to present one complete work, like viewing an exhibition," he said, highlighting that he aimed to create "not just music to listen to, but an object worth owning." He added that this vision was realized to his satisfaction in the final album.

T.O.P also hinted at what’s next. Some B-sides are being turned into music videos in unconventional formats, and he asked fans to look forward to the content rolling out soon.

"I wanted to let fans hear new music as soon as possible," he said. "Starting with this album, I’ll keep giving back through music." He closed by vowing, "I’ll continue to be an artist who makes sincere, new attempts."

Released in April, 'Another Dimension' posted meaningful results on global charts right out of the gate. On release day, it racked up about 1.47 million streams on Spotify — the best first-day tally for a K-pop solo artist in 2026 — and hit No. 1 on iTunes in 15 countries, while also debuting at No. 20 on the Billboard World Albums chart, reaffirming T.O.P’s enduring influence.
