Korean figure skating ace Cha Jun-hwan will headline the ice show Solo Leveling on Ice, stepping onto the rink as its lead.

On the 27th, producer Live Arena announced, "In the show opening this August, Cha Jun-hwan will play the protagonist Sung Jinwoo," confirming his casting.

Solo Leveling on Ice is based on the globally viral web novel and webtoon of the same name. The original webtoon recorded a staggering 14.3 billion cumulative views worldwide, and when this story was first brought to the ice last year, the show drew rave reviews for its dazzling skating and overwhelming stage production.

In the production, Cha portrays Sung Jinwoo, who awakens from humanity's weakest hunter to become its strongest. With his signature delicate expression, flawless skating, and dynamic performance, he is set to deliver Jinwoo's dramatic growth arc straight to the audience.

Live Arena added, "This run will further amplify Jinwoo's growth narrative and performance," expressing confidence that "Cha Jun-hwan's superb artistry and high-difficulty techniques will upgrade the show's overall completeness to the next level."

Powered by the original's rock-solid story and Cha's standout acting on ice, the production promises a more immersive, adrenaline-pumping experience for audiences.

Meanwhile, Solo Leveling on Ice will be staged from August 7 to 17 at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul.
